Very Hospitable and Clean Campsite

点评：This campsite was one of our favs on our trip! We drove 1hour and 45 min from Secret Lagoon to camp here and arrived late, around 9:30pm. Let me first say that, even though we drove in the dark, we could see that the views were spectacular on the way! I highly recommend at least taking this drive during daylight hours (I’m about to return in early Dec to do this myself!) Once we arrived, we walked up to the main hall/office door and were greeted by the sweetest sheep just sitting there by the door. You can pet it! We spoke to the owner who welcomed us but did not have a space for our large motor home, so she moved her own car so that we could pull up in between two buildings. It was very windy so this would protect the camper overnight. We were also directly outside from the bath/shower door which was convenient. The common area was closing but the owner showed us around quickly so that we knew where to go to cook food etc. The backdrop behind this campsite is breathtaking and we were on our way to Husafell from here the next morning. That road however was very snowy and full of potholes, and the travel time to Husafell was doubled due to the weather, so if you’re traveling to Husafell from this campsite, please be careful and leave an extra half hour to an hour so you can enjoy that drive! Anyway, back to the camp; Very nice people. I highly recommend this hospitable place. I’m not sure why this other person wrote a bad review because our experience was far different! We look forward to camping there again on future trips!
