We had the halibut fish and chips and fried oysters, all of which were excellent: fresh and freshly cooked.
The folks there are friendly, the atmosphere informal: picnic tables under a canopy or a tree.
Down sides include the cost and the ordering system. Two orders of fish and chips, five oysters, and four cups (not pints) of beer came to over $100 without adding tax and tip.
The process for getting your meal is less than optimal. You order and pay at a single cash register, then after you pay the person behind the counter gets your beverages, whether beer, cider, or cocktail. Because one person is handling all that, the line to order is long and slow. It can take longer to get through the line than to get your food.
There’s only a single beer on tap, but a cooler holds an assortment of others in cans and also bottles of wine.
