点评：This is an old attractive pub in the village of Brandesburton where we were staying for 6 days. We booked a table for 7:30pm and they asked us to preorder before we arrived. Food was fine and we finished our food shortly after 8:00. Our table was not cleared until 8:27 and when we asked the waitress for the dessert menu, she said you have to order at the bar, and that the kitchen closes at 8:30. We quickly agreed on what to order and went to the bar at 8:31 to order, but we were told that we couldn't as the kitchen just closed. We tried to explain that 7 of our group just wanted ice-cream but the answer was still no.
Of course, strictly, they stuck to their rule, but where is customer care here? Why were the plates not cleared earlier? Why were we not told that the kitchen closes at 8:30? Do the staff want customers to return? If so, they are not doing a good job.
We did not go back to this pub.
