点评:It was my first time in Dauphin in a number of years, and had to come check it out. Overall, a recommended visit. I'll review it in two ways, as a visitor, and as a museum itself
1) The museum is a great place to visit. I enjoyed seeing some things that would be regional history but also how they fit into the larger picture of Manitoba. The preserved locations/artifacts are stellar to look at, and I think is a helpful reminder of how different life on the prairies truly was even 100 years ago (and the difficulties that came with that). They have even some fossils, which was a fun thing to see.
2) Some displays have small typos in them or could be improved upon [I am not asking they be "updated" or anything, some museums lose their charm when they go "modern", also I imagine plenty of the work was done also by volunteers], but I don't really see that as a knock. It's a smaller museum that does get across what needs to for its explanations. You can tell a lot of love went into the museum in trying to capture each theme it does. Regardless, a bit more signage for parking would be better.
I am glad we came out to see. It was a major point for us to come out on a road trip we were having across some parts of central Manitoba. I would definitely go again.
