As outstanding afternoon tea cruise on the Bridgewater canal.

点评：We travelled on the afternoon tea cruise and it was an exceptional experience. Having allowed plenty of time for the journey we arrived rather early and were met by a very friendly member of the boatyard who showed us to toilets etc. and said we were welcome to sit in the picnic gardens or have a look around whilst we waited. On boarding the boat we were shown to our table by one of the two hostesses. I had requested an afternoon tea with no cheese and my requirements were fully met when the food was delivered with my sandwiches on a separate plate. The afternoon tea included soup that was clearly home made by the travelling chef (most welcome on an autumn day) a selection of sandwiches and cakes and scones. These were also made by the chef as was the jam served to go with the scones. There is tea or coffee topped up as often as you wish and also a bar on board (although drinks from this are not included in the booking price). The cruise is about two hours and the autumn colours were magnificent. I have already recommended this to family and friends and am considering a return visit, perhaps in the spring.
