Heart's Content Cable Station的点评
点评：This small museum tells an interesting story about early telecommunications in Canada, and why it is located in the small Newfoundland village of Hearts Content.
As such, it’s certainly worth an hour of your time, if you aren’t going too far out of your way to get to it.
Some previous reviews suggest that you might be lucky enough to have someone on staff walk you through a guided tour of the premises. I visited last day of the season, and perhaps they were a bit short staffed because I got a short introductory explanation at the entrance and was then shown to the room where the video was shown, and then told that I could walk through myself and could ask questions at the end.
The video is interesting; the old equipment you wander past is cool to see, but there is limited signage to explain what the function of each piece was; if a guide had been available to walk me through I might have learned a fair bit more than I did. But it’s cheap to visit, so no reason not to check it out if you are passing through Hearts Content.
