点评:Pwllheli Beach is a nice, quiet stretch of beach comprised of both sand and shingle.
I am perhaps not overly qualified to review, due to going there in October, when the weather and footfall lends itself more to a M.R. James ghost story than a relaxing beach day out.
Indeed, when I was there I saw perhaps one other person - a dog walker who hurried past with her head down - whilst I metal detected the sand.
I accessed the beach from the junction of Embankment Road and The Promenade - an area so steeped in deprivation that it is little wonder I didn't see the best that this beach has to offer.
I think, had I been further down the beach, down where the town of Pwllheli is, I am led to believe, less of a derelict wasteland where only darkness and misery reign, I might have seen a much better representation of Pwllheli Beach.
On the plus side, the beach is ruthlessly clean. I only found a toy car and a 20p coin in all the time I was there.
