Visit in monsoon. Perfect for a drive.

点评：We just loved the journey to this dam. The road goes through dense forestation, farms, small water ponds/ puddles, mandirs, primary schools, etc. You will see almost everything and surely the rural side of Goa. We travelled on a bike which might not be suitable for inexperienced riders as the roads are secluded and run deep where you lose mobile network. The dam is huge and the backwaters area is humongous. There is a garden adjacent to the dam which is very well maintained. Good for families and kids to spend some extra time. A nominal entry fees of Rs. 40 has to be paid at the entry point which I think is the fees for the garden. We went when there was very less water in the dam (February) so the overflow of water through the 'Duckbill spillaway' wasn't happening which is the main attraction. But honestly we didn't mind. Monsoon should be the best season to visit here.
