点评:We visited as a family with our 12 year old son for the Have A Go Clay Pigeon Shooting. I was somewhat skeptical about whether I would enjoy but my husband and son were keen so I was happy to tag along.
I can honestly say I was very pleasantly surprised that not only did I enjoy myself but I would definitely go back and can see myself having a go again!
We started the session with an interesting and informative talk in the comfortable cabin about the history of Clay pigeon shooting, basic gun safety and checking our eye dominance. After this we went out to the shelter and proceeded to each take turns of 10 shots each under the close guidance of Andy. He had a choice of gun options for us and we each ended up with a different one - my son used a single shot semi auto and I had a slightly smaller double barrel shot gun.
Andy was great at tailoring the instruction to each of our abilities and by the end of the session our son was aiming on his own and hitting them. Given he’s only 12 and has Dyspraxia (a coordination disorder) we were super pleased and he was absolutely made up at what he’d achieved! A super positive first experience for him.
My husband is looking forward to going back to an intro to riffle shooting and we may well all go back to build on the skills we learnt today for Clay pigeon shooting.
The whole site appears to be very well equipped, modern and comfortable. All in all a 10/10 experience for all 3 of us.
(Have A Go Clay Pigeon Shooting)。
