A Classic car club visit for Drive it Day.

点评：Our car club had a lovely visit here. The event was easy to organise as the response times to all our queries was extremely quick and informative,.
The visit itself was well done, with a welcoming talk in the dragon hall, followed by a tour of the house. There was the use of audio guides, which was useful for some of our more hard of hearing members who often miss out on these tours. However sometimes for the rest of us it was difficult to know whether to listen to the audio guide, or listen to Jonathon the human guide who also had so many fascinating things to impart. But overall most people seemed to manage to strike a happy medium between the two.
Lunch was served in the beautifully restored dragon hall and service by the family was swift and well organised. A couple of points let it down slightly, the main one being the fact that no soft drink was offered if you didn’t drink wine or because someone was driving. As The house needs to be driven to I think this could be an improvement for the future. The other main improvement might be a better toilet, or toilets, especially as the door was a little see through in places!
After lunch we could roam the grounds and visit the chapel, and at no time did we feel hurried to leave, with us sitting outside in some lovely sunshine just enjoying the place.
This is a lovely place for a group such as ourselves to visit and I would be happy to recommend to other classic car groups.
