Ok but expensive

点评：We went to see SpeakEasy featuring Gorka & Karen, two of the pro dancers from Strictly.
The parking aspect that I could see some reviews have mentioned as troublesome, we found quite easy and straightforward. The sign posting was fine and we had no problems. We were slightly confused about what way to walk when we left the car (left or right) so we just followed others and then we very quickly saw signs to the Art Centre.
The staff inside were great and a shout-out to the people manning the doors, really friendly and welcoming.
The venue itself had seats that were reasonably small compared to some venues and certainly not the most comfortable; prepare for a numb bum !
The show was good but not amazing , though the music was excellent. We couldn’t help but compare to Giovanni’s show a couple of months before which felt more polished somehow and the backing dancers just a little more precise. However, this was still an entertaining show and we did enjoy it.
Lastly, what we didn’t enjoy was the drinks pricing; £29 for two half pints of ale and two small bottles of Prosecco!!?? I know that pricing in theatres is always silly but this was impressively greedy. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask!
