Painted Prairie Vineyard的点评
点评：An outdoor comedy event led us to finally check out this vineyard. The dining room is spacious and lovely with heavy, community tables. The seating is either a long wooden bench or flimsy, uncomfortable chairs. As a disabled person, I found it a bit difficult to be seated comfortably and to go down the rocks to the event stage. There is a nice patio, however. The outdoor bar was open although that may have been due to the large party booked outside.
One friend ordered the brisket sandwich. It was large with big chunks of meat on a brioche bun. The other ordered the smoked salmon crostini, which was a work of art on a plate. The salmon was arranged to look like a rose and surrounded by all the accompaniments to make individual crostini with the generous serving of toasted bread. I got the sausage and mushroom flatbread. The crust was crispy and the red pepper sauce tangy and flavorful. I found I do not like Andouille sausage and the skin on it should have been removed. The mushrooms could have used a bit of seasoning while being sauted. The raspberry spritzer and the Prairie-Rita were delicious on a hot summer day.
The night cooled off very quickly and we were chilly outdoors with the breeze. The view of the vineyard was lovely and restful. It seemed like a nice place to linger with drinks if you dressed warmly enough!
