Loud, busy, bright - and a lot of fun!
曼谷唐人街的点评
点评：It's always fun visiting Chinatown in major cities. We've seen some (e.g. NYC, SF, Melbourne, London).
This one - even though I've been in Bangkok some times - I haven't visited yet. Until now.
Took a boat up-river and got out at the "Ratchawong" station. Just a short Tuk-Tuk ride away from Chinatown.
Most of the action is right on Yaowarat Road. It's loud, it's busy. It's hustling and bustling. Endless restaurants, shops and food stalls. And all the traffic as well. It's bright, it's colourful. And it's pretty much fun!
Don't miss out on some more interesting side streets as well. But: The quality of food and restaurants really is very mixed here. You can get some cheap and cheerful meal. But there were some other stalls we've tried that were underwhelming at best. But as a whole experience Chinatown is a fun thing to do.
On Soi Yaowarat (side street) you find some cheaper and more exotic stuff. Also some fried insects, spiders and scorpions. Which is more of a tourist thing. But if you're into that...
A place I'd recommend is "Seng Shark' Fin" right in the middle at the main road of Yaowarat. We didn't eat Sharks Fin (I'd never do that), but they have great dishes on their menu. Fish Maw soup was delicous. It might sound a bit adventurous, but is actually very very good. A main ingredient is the dried fish swim bladder. Try it before you judge it - I loved it.
From all the areas we've been in the past days, Chinatown was the one with clearly the most international visitors. I wouldn't come here every day. But once every trip to Bangkok for sure.

我推荐一家位于耀华力路主干道中心的“Seng Shark' Fin”餐厅。我们没有吃鱼翅（我绝对不会吃），但他们菜单上的菜品都很棒。鱼鳔汤非常美味。听起来可能有点冒险，但实际上味道非常好。这道汤的主要原料是干鱼鳔。尝尝再下结论——我非常喜欢。
在我们过去几天去过的所有地方中，唐人街显然是国际游客最多的地方。我不会每天都来这里，但每次来曼谷肯定会来一次。
