NOT Aimed at Staff! - Too Expensive

点评：I direct my message at English Heritage, not the site staff and the wonderful fluffy feline mascot!
English Heritage, PLEASE ensure you keep your website up-to-date, especially regards pricing. You have always been tared with having prices that are exclusionary and I thought the prices online expensive but we thought we would take the plunge and enjoy indulging a fascination. The prices 'on the door' where a full £1.30 more expensive each. Many may scoff at this but for others its a big deal, especially for working families or those for whom a day trip is a saved up for affair.
Further, whilst the small museum is fascinating, you admit your site to be small and the cost is steep in my opinion - although wholly enjoyable and worth visiting at a lesser cost)
Further, PLEASE don't advertise walking tours for Heritage Open Days on laminated sheets left on site and elsewhere in the vicinity for a specified date (the 8th Sept.) if your poor staff then awkwardly have to renege on the offer, due to staffing/volunteers. It was the whole reason we indulged your (online) costs!
For those reading and wondering whether to go, it amounts to a small section of the former town wall and two mosaics. You can also see a mound that can be assumed to be a former roman mining spoil heap and some lumps in a field that take some deciphering. I would wholly recommend all the same and I was fascinated and entertained however I would, personally, suggest it to be worth less than half the cost. I could see that those without a deep pre-existing interest in Romano British history would call it a 'right swizz' 'boring' or 'small'.
