点评：We only knew about 'NordArt' because a friend had visited a few weeks ago. He was gobsmacked. So, we organised our trip to Rendsburg, visited NordArt last Saturday – and were equally gobsmacked. The venue for this stunning contemporary art exhibition/event is a GIGANTIC disused steelworks, which provides vast, generous space to show art at its very best. The contrast between the excellent contemporary art and the patina of the old industrial building is beautiful. So, NordArt takes place once a year – 3000 submissions – only 200 artists selected – so the art is of supreme quality, ranging from small, delicate works to monumental sculptures. In addition, there is a large garden with a permanent sculpture park – so beautiful. NordArt must be up there as one of the best contemporary art exhibitions in Europe – North Germany's answer to the Venice Biennale. FABULOUS.
