点评：The Old Kaliva Pub is a great watering hole situated literally just outside the gates to Tui Blue Caravel. Although staying at the Caravel and having the option of unlimited free food and drink, which was lovely during the day on the beach etc, I found myself drawn to the 'Old Kaliva' in the evenings where I enjoyed a far better drinking and chatting environment. The Boss - Spiros and bar staff Vasiliki go out of their way to welcome and engage you with conversation - if wanted, and make you feel like a valued customer. Not only a mine of interesting information, he also booked a taxi to the chemist and arranged for them to wait and drop us back to the pub. The beer glasses come direct from the freezer to ensure you enjoy an ice cold beer and the selection of spirits, wines and cocktails was massive. After just one visit they remembered both my wife's and my name and the drinks we had had the following evening and greeted us accordingly.
One of the reasons to look for a 'watering hole' was to find somewhere that has a TV to watch sports. Although the 3 TV's are large they did not dominate the pub - It's not just another sports bar.
It was not just that we had friendly service, but that we felt that we had made new friends - I would highly recommend anyone staying in the area to try it.
