点评:I’m sure this beach was wonderful a few years’ ago but now it is totally taken over by jetskis and the smell of the vast amounts of diesel required to fill them up (which is done on the beach). We counted 175 jetskis within a single kilometre of beach, each of which have to be towed onto the beach by 4x4s in the morning and then towed off again in the evening. During this transition you take your life into your own hands as the vehicles drive up and down the same stretch of beach the tourists try and use. Once in place, you then can’t move as the trailers are left on the beach all day. Honestly, it’s both crazy and dangerous. And that’s before you get into the water.
If you decide to venture into the sea, and I would strongly recommend you think twice about doing so if you have children, then you need to be aware of (a) the large numbers of jellyfish that are being washed up on the beach – presumably cut up by the jetskis – and (b) the lunatics hooning around on the jetskis with complete disregard for anyone in the water. There are NO safe zones demarcating jetskis from swimmers, so good luck if you venture into the water.
Whilst we were there was a pack of about 8 stray dogs on the beach so watch out for them as well.
Positives are that it was the best beach for shells I’ve ever seen!
