Unforgettable Experience at Turtle Island, Borneo
海龟岛的点评
点评：Turtle Island was one of the absolute highlights of my trip to Borneo! We took a boat out to the island and stayed overnight in comfortable accommodation. The staff were lovely and helpful, and the meals were perfectly fine.
Watching a turtle come up onto the beach to lay her eggs was truly amazing. The rangers then carefully relocated the eggs for protection, and visitors can even adopt a nest to support the sanctuary. I adopted one with 65 eggs and am eagerly waiting to hear how many hatch — such a meaningful experience knowing the money goes toward conservation.
Our guide and the rangers were fantastic, passionate, and knowledgeable. The only small downside was the number of people crowded around the nests; fewer visitors at a time would make it even more special. That said, there were around ten turtles that came ashore that night — incredible to see!
We even got a sunset selfie with our Intrepid tour group — just beautiful. Clean island, well run, and an experience I’ll never forget.
