点评:Getting to the cave was a bit difficult cause our cell phone service cut out the last kilometer, but after some driving and searching we found the huge sign on the side of the road that marked where the caves were!
When we arrived, we were greeted with a gate and a gate attendant and paid the entrance fee for the caves. When we paid the entrance fee, we included a hard hat with a LED light attached to it which was received at the entrance of the cave. We drove through and parked in the parking lot. There we were greeted by a nice gentleman who asked to see our tickets then provided us with the hard hats with the lights with a quick demonstration on how they worked. He then directed us to how to enter the caves.
You do need to climb some steps to get to the entrance of the main cave but they have a strong hand rail and were wide. Once you get to the entrance, you put the helmet on and can start walking in the cave. At first it was a bit underwhelming as it didn't seem to go to deep into the mountain and only one section was lit up with lights. But don't stop yet! Go a little further and there is a opening to the right which will let you go much deeper into the cave. If you are claustrophobic, it is a cave, but it is huge with caverns reaching high above and wide open spaces to explore. There are some places that are a bit tight, but you do not need to go through those to get to the main open chamber with high ceilings and wide walls.
There are no handrails in this cave. There are some steps that have been carved in.
The cave itself is lit up dramatically with the lights highlighting the best features of the cave.(But there are no lights showing what path to take) I got to see some amazing colored stone walls, stones hanging from the ceilings, and if you shine your light up, you can also catch the bats flying around at the top! (and yes there are bats fyi). The cave does go deep in the mountain but you can complete the main cave with about 15 minutes of careful walking. Once you finish the main cave, you can continue climbing the steps (these are a bit taller and less wide, but have a good hand rail) to a smaller cavern which has some statues to check out and lets you look over the forest. Once you finish here, you can go back down the steps and the man will show you where the next cave is. We were on a time crunch, so we didn't opt to go into the other cave, but if it is anything like the first one, it is probably amazing as well.
Overall if you are looking for a great and safe caving experience, I highly recommend checking out this cave. They provided us with lights and hard hats and the cave was easy to navigate with just the lights provided. Do me mindful we had some spotty cell service about a kilometer away from the cave, so it might be good to download the directions as well.
