Cabin at Whitewater Memorial

点评：We spent two nights at Whitewater Memorial State Park. You will need to pay an entrance fee even if you are staying at the park but the pass is good for your visit. The cabins are modern and beds are comfortable but somewhat run down. The website was not helpful and guests should know the only item provided is a small selection of pans; you will need to bring everything else: dishes, utensils, even a drying rack if so inclined because even that is not stocked! Our cabin did have coffee filters but plan to bring any and all items you will need (don’t forget dish towels, dish soap, and of course bath towels and washcloths along with your bed linens). The bathroom appeared to have been recently remodeled and looked very nice HOWEVER the shower has almost no water pressure, the wand did not work, and the shower head could not be moved. Nearly all of the “spray” is directed onto the wall and unless you are taller than 5’6”, the water will not reach you. I was told when phoning the general number (I was unable to reach anyone at the park specific number) that the park had wi-fi available which was surprising but turned out to be untrue. You will need to look closely on arrival as the cabins are not well marked. An overall good experience thanks to great staff and superb trails! Communication is the only real issue that could be so much better–the reservation system is efficient but it is difficult to get information about individual parks, policies, or events such as the great presentation we saw at the Camp Store.
