Lovely place spoiled by one member of staff

点评：The estate is beautiful, the history is interesting, the facilities are good, the staff in the cafe, reception and shop were polite and helpful and of course the owls are impressive. It would have been an all round great experience and I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for one unfortunate member of staff.
I'm referring to the purple haired woman who facilitated the flying display. I've worked in the public attraction/ tour guide industry at a senior level for years and her character/ attitude was horrible and obnoxious. She presented the whole talk in a monotone sarcastic sounding voice and acted like an arrogant condescending attention seeker on a power trip.
We arrived very slightly late, the door had literally just closed, the other staff members were happy to sell us tickets and let us in but we were met with a disapproving glare and a shake of the head from her majesty, we didn't exactly feel welcome. Then to add insult to injury she made a point of announcing across a crowded room that "the late comers were disruptive" which was obviously directed at us and very unnecessary and humiliating, for the record, I think she was the only person that saw us quietly sneak in the room and on to the back bench, causing no disruption.
So yeah an otherwise lovely experience tainted by a spoiled brat who really needs to get over herself and learn some social skills, needless to say we left her talk early as we couldn't stand the sound of her nasal snide tones, it was like someone drawing their nails down a blackboard.
