Lovely day out, apart from Toilet facilities. Absolute disgrace!

点评：Visited July 2025, with my mam and 2 children. Very quiet the day we visited, We had a great day out, fab walks, beautiful scenery and nice duck pond. Great variety of walks. Finding the animal statues are fun for the kids. Some paths and particular steps can be a little dangerous and slippy but otherwise just take care with your steps, we brought a picnic, good amount of picnic tables and all relativity clean. Could do with a few more tables if the park was busy and more bins. There is currently a playground being built at the moment, won't be ready for summer 2025, missed amenity there for the summer season, will be brilliant when complete. The signage for the trails could be better, very confusing and the maps could be bigger and much clearer. We hadn't a clue which walks we were on but we didn't really mind as we were wandering about happily. We had a great day's adventure however, the toilet facilities within the forest park located at the car park were a major letdown. Coillte need to get their act together. Absolute disgrace. Ladies toilets absolutely filthy, no running water, none flushing, no toilet roll, no light within them, the bin which was a large one was full the gills and overflowing. Can't speak for the men's but the kids ran by it and said it stank so can only imagine the condition they were in. When your paying in to an amenity (it's €5 entrance fee at barrier to park in the car park,also note it's card only ) and toilet facilities are provided, basic upkeep of them should be a daily occurrence. Coillte need to get the finger out with the upkeep of them. Dun na Ri is a lovely day out for nature walks and scenery and a picnic, just avoid the toilets.
