Terrible experience at Klong Ka Tourist Development raft Houses

点评：We booked a package through our hotel in Khao Sok. The tour was with Happy Tours and they were terrible. We waited 2 hours for a boat from the pier to our accommodation an hour into the lake. We arrived at Klong Ka Tourist Development raft house site and had to pick our way through sun baking bodies (day trippers) to get to the rotting wooden boardwalks to our room. The guide for Happy Tours told us there was no night safari, as the National Park didn’t do them anymore (not true). Our room was dreadful. Leaking toilet, holes in elevated bed, window frame with flap only, couldn’t lock, repaired with an odd piece of plastic. A small hole in the flap had a tissue stuffed in it. In our group of houses, one had the roof tied down with rope, wall broken. Food very restricted, 6 dried up pieces of dry cooked fish between 30 people, plus small bowls of other food. When someone asked for more they were told what was dished out was to be divided between all of us. Asked guide for help with window flap and because I waited for help, eventually he became abusive and refused to take us next morning. We had to ring the hotel we were staying at for them to get a boat to pick us up next day. Apparently the owners of our hotel were anbused also by the Happy Tours when he queried what was happening Another young couple also complained that the tour didn’t give them the activities advertised. It was shocking to say the least. Each of our hotels gave us a refund. An absolutely beautiful lake and surroundings, but never, never go to the Tourist Development Raft House site, be very careful where you book
