No17 Three Waterfalls- a great independent shore excursion

点评：No17's Three Waterfalls tour was a great independent cruise ship shore excursion. Meeting/pick up by the tour operators’ sheds went smoothly, and the van was extremely comfortable with a good sound system.
Our tour guide/ driver Auden was witty, knowledgeable, interesting, organized and considerate, and adjusted the itinerary to accommodate the crowds, weather, traffic and our interests.
We enjoyed our Akureyri city driving tour, and our stops at Godafoss, Aldeyjarfoss, and Hrafnarbjargasfoss waterfalls, and the Polarhester horse farm. The drive on gravel roads and the hikes to the second and third waterfalls were quite challenging and scary at times, but the views were breathtaking.
Auden returned us safely to the cruise terminal so that we had plenty of time to visit the port area gift shop before re-boarding the ship.
So, in summary, it was a fun, active, interesting and educational day, great for a second time visit to Akureyri, taking us to more attractions at a lower price with a smaller group than the ship’s shore excursions.
