点评:Panna is not a well known safari destination for UK travellers but it is well worth considering. We did 6 safaris in 3 days which was tiring but rewarding. You really will see tigers here. We had much better and more frequent sightings than we ever did In Ranthambore. I think we had 8 sightings of tigers. But Panna is a beautiful area in its own right and we also saw a sloth bear, lots of types of hoofed animals and many interesting birds.
The safaris sell out 6 months in advance and we were glad our UK agent had booked early for us.
Each vehicle has a driver and a park guide, the latter type did not add much for us and we had our own naturalist guide from our lodge, Sarai at Toria who was much better.
We were appalled at the behaviour of some drivers and guides with one in particular not moving back to let a clearly distressed tiger pass over the road. Our driver and guide asked him to do so repeatedly.
The management need to regulate this better and make sure vehicles do not stress the precious tigers.
Otherwise, we loved Panna and the whole wildlife experience here. A magical place where the great tigers are rulers.
