Certain parts of the museum are very interesting

点评：This quite odd museum focusses mainly on the gifts bestowed to the Sultan over the course of his reign, displays of Royal Regalia, ceremonial medals presented by numerous countries, a huge photo collection covering the Sultan’s life and its centrepiece attraction, the chariots that featured both at his coronation and later silver jubilee. Apparently the most recent one from his golden jubilee is still in storage as there is insufficient room in the museum to display this.
The centrepiece exhibits are spectacularly displayed and the ceremonial displays are interesting although we did find the endless display of gifts and photographs became a little tedious after a time.
It cost 5 BDN per person to enter (cash only), shoes are left in cupboards outside the building. No camera allowed other than in the central atrium but bizarrely you can take photos with a mobile phone.
