点评:I have been going to Taman Negara for more than fifty years. I cannot recommend a visit there more highly. In all this time the forest, fortunately, hasn't changed, nor the wildlife. Government systems administering the Park do impose more rules these days, and fitting within them is the key to getting the most out of the TN experience. Be accepting of the likely need to employ a guide: if you are in a group of four that's ideal for sharing the cost and the benefit. Also in a group you share the cost e.g. of a very memorable boat ride to Lata Berkoh (be sure to beg your boatmen to come back downstream WITHOUT the motor). Be clear when you arrive what are the trails you are allowed to follow without the need for a guide, and focus most of your time here, trying to be away from Park HQ at dawn and at dusk when the forest is most 'alive', most astonishing for the dawn and dusk 'orchestra' of sounds (cicadas, frogs, birds, gibbons, monkeys, even geckoes!). Don't be afraid to walk in the forest at night, s-l-o-w-l-y and hyper-observantly with a headtorch: a scorpion, a caterpillar, a harmless snake, a millipede, a frog, a mousedeer! Last trip I stayed in the hostel within the Mutiara complex with freedom to go into and out of the forest at any time (or take a nap in the middle of the day), but also access to booking a guide if I wanted e.g. a day-trek to Gua Telinga cave (a zillion horseshoe bats and maybe a cave racer snake?) and the Cegar Anjing giant tualang tree. And leeches? Wear shorts, sneakers with grip, no socks, and put insect repellent on the bare skin of your whole feet and ankles and calves, every couple of hours - this works! If you can stay FOUR NIGHTS/THREE FULL DAYS OR LONGER and plan those days productively, questioning your guide to draw on all their local knowledge, travelling slowly and observantly (ears as well as eyes) you will cherish your Taman Negara Kuala Tahan experience forever.
