点评:Came here once before in 2016 but felt that we didn’t get to enjoy it to the full. Made it a point to come back and we thoroughly enjoyed it. At Lake of the Americans we saw beavers. The views from Mont Xalibu are epic, exceptional. At Mont Jacques-Cartiers we learned that the caribou herd is down to about 35 with only 15 free roaming, while we did not see caribou we did enjoy the otherworldly rocky tundra landscape. Chute St Anne was lovely and easy to access. We hike Mont Ernest LaForce early and quietly 3x and saw a moose each time. Summer time highs in the 60’s, stiff breezes in the higher elevations. We did get checked by rangers on the trails to make sure we had paid park passes. I suggest adding your park pass to your digital wallet if possible. Yes the roads are mostly gravel, yes the cell service is almost nonexistent, yes the park is remote. At times the silence is deafening. We adore it and highly recommend it.
