点评：Yllästunturi Visitor Centre Kellokas is located between the villages on Äkäslompolo and Ylläsjärvi in Ylläs, Kolari. This is the best place to get information about Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. You can rent bikes or buy maps, local products and souvenirs here. There are interesting free exhibitions and short films (also in English) in the building.
Remember the outdoor area, too. You find a campfire site, a playground and a washing place for bicycles there. In the backyard you find beautiful fell views and wooden sculptures. Visit also the courtyard building. There is a free logging museum there.
Excellent nature paths and hiking trails start from the visitor center. I especially recommend Varkaankurunpolku Thematic Trail (3.4 kilometers, 1½ hours) and Keskisenlaen Kierros Trail (14 kilometers, 4½ hours, including the connection trail from the visitor center to the starting point). They are the highlights of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. I combined these two trails. First I followed Varkaankurunpolku clockwise from the visitor center. At Varkaankuru hut I started to follow signs Keskisenlaen kierros. So I saw the best parts of both trails.
