Great site, and fantastic staff!
Montrose Air Station Museum的点评
点评：A fantastic site, driven by its team of dedicated volunteers, with excellent objects and beautifully restored aircraft on display. Staff are very friendly, and clearly have a passion for the history and preservation of the site. Among the best air museums in Britain.
Entry fee is £10 per head. There is a lot to see, with many interesting rooms and impressions that give a great sense of what life at the station would have been like. When we visited, the site was relatively quiet, with only a few other small groups visiting at the same time. Our visit to the museum took us around 2 hours, with rest stops and refuelling along the way.
Special thanks to Kevan, who gave us an excellent tour of the Burke hangar to see the Hunter, Jaguar and Tornado jets on display. The staff at RAF Montrose live and breathe its history, give so much of their time and are a credit to the museum. I look forward to returning soon for another visit!
