Go for the campground, not the swimming

点评：Rolley Lake Provincial Park campground is nice and clean with large, level sites and lots of space between you and the neighbours. The pit toilets were well maintained and not smelly. The showers are free, decent temperature (it's a push knob shower so you can't control the temperature or how long it stays on but it wasn't bad at all). The park is nice and lots of kids were enjoying it. Rolley Lake is near the bottom of the list of lakes I have been to. The roped off swim area is very small, and the water is murky brown, even out in the middle of the lake it was still brown with floating stuff. It's looks like a nice lake for paddle boarding or kayaking (small though) as gas and electir motors are not allowed so it's peaceful. We discovered the area outside of the roped off swim area was all yucky bottom. My son went out of the roped area to try and rescue a floatie for a crying kid and he lost both his sandals in the knee deep goop! My husband went in to 'feel around' with his feet to try and find the sandals but we didn't have any luck. Bottom line, if you are going for a nice lake then go somewhere else. However if you are going for the campground this is a good choice. Our second day there we found a gorgeous lake up the road that wasn't busy at all and was clear and warm.
