点评:This was a beautiful hike with stunning views. We started on the rim trail, Just a forwarning this is not a beginners hike or a hike for anyone who struggles with mobility. Right off the rip you traverse several flights of steps, from there you will continue up hill a bit, I run regularly and I was even a little winded once at the top. The trail levels off once at the top and here is where you will have stunning views. The second half of the trail is a bit more traversing of some rocks and roots etc, not as many views on the second half of the hike and then several flights of stars down back to the bottom where you started.
We then did the Gorge Hike to the waterfall. Most of this trail is Paved, Easy and Accessible, the last section to get to the waterfall you will need to traverse some rocks to get there but this was not to challenging. The waterfall was almost non existent when we were here in the fall, but it was still a very cool hike Overall the Rim Trail was about 2.25 miles round trip and the Gorge Trail was about 1 miles round trip. I would plan for 2-3 hours at this park if you want to do both trails and explore. The trails were well marked and we never felt lost or didn't know where to go and we didn't have a map.
There is paved parking here but we came on a Saturday and it was busy so we parked in the overflow parking in the field. There are nice new restrooms here but they seemed to be finishing them so they were closed and they had porta potties available. This is a state nature reserve and there are many signs stating no pets, although we saw many pets along the gorge trail so not sure how well this is enforced. We love dogs so it didn't bother us, just a forwarning if you have your pet along.
