Amazing experience, not to be missed
Bees - Burm And Emily's Elephant Sanctuary的点评
点评：Our stay at BEES was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
We stayed for one night, which felt like the perfect amount of time for us. I know some people stay longer and love it, but we’re not exactly the “forest life” type — still, it was an incredible experience for one night!
On the first day, we were picked up from our hotel by Tan and made our way to Doi Inthanon. Along the way, we stopped at a couple of waterfalls and viewpoints, which were absolutely stunning. Tan was a great driver and very funny!
When we arrived at the sanctuary, we were introduced to everyone, including Dee, Em, and Greasy (sorry if that’s spelled wrong!). We helped prepare food for the elephants — even got to use a machete to chop pumpkins! Afterwards, we enjoyed a lovely dinner and some free time in the evening. My partner went to sleep, but I stayed up playing board games with the others, who made us feel so welcome.
The next day was the trek with the elephants. It didn’t take long to find them — maybe a 10-minute walk — and then we spent about five or six hours walking with them through rivers and forest. It was truly amazing.
In summary, we absolutely recommend this experience. It took us far out of our comfort zones, but it was completely worth it. The dogs and cats at the sanctuary were such a bonus — we already miss Shadow, Champ, Frankie, Rowan, Big Red, Gizmo, and Madame 🐕❤️
Lastly, I really want to mention how incredible the team was with my allergies. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, don’t worry — they’ll take great care of you.
