Beating the "Pyramid Fatigue" – Serapeum, Tombs & The AI Solution

萨卡拉金字塔群的点评
点评：The Highlights (It’s not just Pyramids):
If you have already seen Giza, your brain might be a bit "pyramided out." That’s why Saqqara was amazing for us. While the Step Pyramid is impressive, the real stars of the show were the Serapeum and the noble Tombs (Mastabas). It’s a tie between the two! Seeing the massive granite coffins in the Serapeum and the intricate wall carvings in the tombs gave us a completely different experience than Giza.
Atmosphere & The Guards:
The vibe is much calmer and more peaceful than the circus at Giza. You have time to actually think and absorb the history.
Be aware: Because there are fewer tourists, the guards at the specific tomb entrances are quite aggressive in asking for tips/money. Since we wanted to explore alone, we had to give a few firm "No thank yous" before they backed off.
Pro Tip: Skip the Guide, Hire a Driver + AI
We did something different, and I highly recommend it:
Instead of a tour bus or a rushing guide with heavy accents, we hired a private driver for the day (expect approx. 3000-4500 EGP covering Memphis, Dahshur, and Saqqara). We had a comfortable car with AC and treated the driver to lunch.
For history: We used AI (Gemini) on our phones. It was the perfect "guide" – we could ask specific questions about what we were looking at, get instant answers, and move at our own pace without being rushed.
Verdict:
A must-visit for the Serapeum alone. Bring internet, bring an AI-app, and enjoy the silence (once you get past the guards).

历史方面：我们使用了手机上的AI应用（Gemini）。它简直是完美的“导游”——我们可以就眼前所见提出具体问题，立即获得答案，而且可以按照自己的节奏游览，完全不用被催促。
结论：
光是塞拉皮斯神庙就值得一去。记得带上网络，带上AI应用，然后享受那份宁静（穿过守卫之后）。
