Great trail, level and scenic
Red Rock Falls, Glacier National Park的点评
点评:Chilly but sunny May afternoon went down this trail towards the falls. Quite a level trail. Encountered a few other people and were forewarned of a moose on the trail but didn’t see one. Once at the falls we could see on the neighboring mountainside white specks which turned out to be, using binoculars, mountain goats perhaps 7 or 8 spaced out on these incredibly sheer looking cliffs. Apart from that we saw numerous ground squirrels- very curious, alert rodents. The one big surprise was on exiting the park while driving on the paved section we saw an enormous, probably male black bear foraging maybe 100 feet from the road. Amazing sight and not that many people there witnessing. The road from Many Glacier entrance starts unpaved a bit bumpy then paved for a few miles in total. This trail and surroundings was probably our favorite area in visiting glacier NP.
