A week on the broads ☀️

点评：We have just returned from a beautiful week exploring the Norfolk broads on Delight 2.
About the boat🛥
The boat is classed as an eight berth , we were 3 adults and 1 medium size dog and we found it spacious enough for us but I would say it would be a bit cramped with any more on board . Myself and my husband had the large double with ensuit and my daughter (18 yrs) had the smaller double. We used the very small single room as a storage room as there's not much cupboard space in the kitchen or other storage around the boat for all your things. I did take food for a week and as we wernt sure what the weather would be like we had packed coats and boots and all our other clothes too, but didn't end up using half of them. 🤭 The kitchen had everything we needed and all worked well👍 The seating area which also turns into a bed was good for us if a little drafty but on day 3 we found some curtains under the seats so once we put them up that helped with the drafts from the windows. The TV wasn't great, the dvd didn't work and we couldn't get a signal but we called the office and they met us in Horning and bought us a much more modern TV which was perfect. The main bedroom was fine, beds were ok, pillows were not so good but I had taken my own so I wasn't to bad. Everything was clean so can't complain. Our bathroom was fine but the other one had an awful smell to it, which even when bleached was still there. The shower trays don't completely empty because the boat was on a constant slant to one side but we coped. The Delight is an old boat and you can see that but it served us well and we throughly enjoyed our holiday. We visited some lovely places and moored up in some very tranquil spots. It was one of the most relaxing holidays I have had and we will definitely 100% be doing it again but on a more modern boat next time. Herbert woods staff were all fantastic and helpful as were other people on the broads that helped us moor up and such things. Norfolk is such a friendly place. One thing to take into consideration is if your taking a dog who needs a good run now and again we didnt find many places to moor up to take her for her daily run so the 2 year old whipett was a little coild spring sometime 😅
