Little Mermaid 2024 - musical theatre at its best!

点评：A stunning show! Just brilliant. A modern twist on the tale, with superb costumes, sets, staging, music, and of course acting. You can see a few photos on facebook #bristolsmermaid but they can't capture the magic. The dance and underwater movement were outstanding, there was excellent use of the fly system and a brilliant acrobatic circus aerialist performance by Holly Downey. Alison Fitzjohn was a real treat , but the whole cast was also outstanding. The story line about oil and plastics killing the coral was understated , there was a sweet romance between the excellent John Leader and the Little Mermaid, and great movement and singing throughout, especially the fantastic Nandi Bhebbi as the endangered coral. Director Miranda Cromwell and designer Ruby Pugh have created an epic. Go see it, and take some kids if you can. On until 11th January.
