点评:We came here from Sambor Village Hotel in Kampong Thom, by tuktuk arranged by the hotel. This is a very worthwhile trip, especially if you combine it with the stunning, very modern Three Worlds religious, cultural and Tourism Centre temple!
The Silk Farm is run by lovely Navin who inherited it from her husband, who sadly passed away. The farm provides work for 9 local people, and when she can afford it, Navin would like to take on one more. She showed us the whole process, from the silkworms eating so many mulberry leaves that they have to cut fresh ones four times a day, to the cocoons, silk production, spinning, colouring and weaving. There were girls working the looms making scarves which were for sale for US$20 - 30. The proceeds support the enterprise. Where can you buy an authentic silver scarf for that? They were pretty too. Do visit and support Navin and her worthwhile enterprise. If you book ahead I believe you may be able to book lunch. Perfect for an interesting stopover on the road between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap .
