Treated very poorly by park ranger and staff.

点评：Treated very poorly by park ranger. When we arrived at our site it was completely flooded in about 6 inches of standing water. I was able to park the camper (but had to be towed out). There was no place to put a tent. We went to the check-in shack and asked if it was OK to set up the tent off of our site and described the exact spot we were going to set it up. They said it was OK. Later that day, after getting it all set up in the pouring rain, the Park Ranger came by and said we couldn't set it up there. We told him we had permission. Then he said, we can't have anything set up on that side of the road. I said, "Well our camp is on that side of the road." Then he said, "Well, you can't park here." I said, "We will move the car." Then he said, "Well we can't have anything tied to the fence." We had tied our tent using some clothesline for additional bracing against a storm so windy it turned into the tornado that went through Rome NY. I said we would untie it. So, the bottom line, he did not know why we couldn't set it up there, he just knew we couldn't. The next day we were given a citation to take it down so we just left. I could not believe after driving through a tornado strength storm and spending two hours getting set up in the pouring rain, that two senior citizens would be treated so poorly, especially when our site was completely flooded. We will never go there again. In fact, based on the poor quality of the facilities, no tissue in the absolutely filthy bathrooms, poor site quality, we are not sure we'll ever camp in a NYS park again.
