A truly heart-warming & amazing experience in the mountains of Borneo

点评：This tour was the absolute highlight of our holiday in Borneo - mainly because of the fabulous itinerary & the warmth of welcome from all of the Murut people that we met during our tour. We chose the 3D2N package C option and right from first contact with JoJo the Orou Sapulot coordinator, through to the post-correspondence with the team the whole experience has been one we will never forget - for all the right reasons.
Our guide Rio was one of the most patient, polite & welcoming people we have ever met. We were a family of 4 with different requests and needs throughout the tour and nothing was too much trouble. We had one-to-one guides on our pinnacle trek and a whole host of different villagers who looked after us, accompanied us & cooked for us throughout the whole tour. The itinerary was full but not rushed & very much worth the money paid. The food was delicious and, as it was one of our party’s birthday while we were there, they made a real effort (& provided a fabulous fruit cake as well!)
The interaction with the villagers during our cultural evening (plus the abundance of rice wine from traditional Murut jars!) was such a privilege.
And the absolute highlight for us was the time we got to spend with Richard, the founder of the Orou Sapulot project - such an eloquent and knowledgeable man and with a genuine passion and care for the area and his people. The Agro-forestry project they have created here is nothing short of stunning. And all the activities and all the proceeds are provided by & for the local people.
A real honour & privilege to have been a part of it all.

能够参与其中，我感到非常荣幸。
