Pathhead Equestrian Centre的点评
点评：This cafe used to be run by people independant of the livery stables . It was loved by the locals as their food was so good. Now the cafe is run by the owners of the stables so we thought we would give it a try. We had phoned to book a table but when we arrived nobody was interested in showing us to a table so we just sat down . Eventually a lady came over and asked what we wanted to order even before she had given us a menu . We chose baked potato with coronation chicken and tea for two . We were told they had no teapots for two so they would give us a single one and refill it . I saw they had loads of teapots but I heard a young chap say they were not washed yet. The tea came and 20 minutes later so did the coronation chicken baked potato . I really wondered whick coronation they were celebrating as the chicken was in shred with barely a covering of sauce . It looked as if it was the bottom of the tub they had stored it in . As we ate our lunch the place was invaded by lots of little girls who had been having a riding lesson so they brought the smell of horses with them . They were not there to buy lunch though they had their own packed lunches. give them their due they were very quiet and well behaved. The same could not said for the lady in charge of them ( owner perhaps ) who sent two of them back to tend to their horses as they had not done it properly. Her voice got louder the longer they stayed.
THe cafe is furnished with old bits of furniture and the top third was full of farm stuff and boxes stacked up .
The staff were doing their best the lady who served us did not know her way about at all but the young man was running up madly working . If we had had the breakfast things might have been better but for us it was grim. The place was far from busy apart from little girls. I do not see it lasting unless things improve.
