A most enjoyable experience in a well managed little SAN Parks paradise

点评：I love a good National Park, I grew up going to the many we have in SA for holidays. I have, however, never, until this December been to the Bontebok National Park. What a gem, it is nestled across the road (almost literally) from Swellendam, a town in the Western Cape. We were so impressed with the layout of the camp, the chalets were perfectly positioned so as not to feel like we were too close to neighbours with an amazing view of the river. There are Bontebok and Red Hartebeest aplenty. There are many walks ranging from 3km - 6km. Each one meanders through a different through a different paradise. In the mornings you are greeted by tortoises in front of your chalet munching on the yellow daisies. The park is home to SAs only indigenous field - mouse, a perfectly pretty little creature, I have not seen in my years of travel. The chalets are very well equipped, spacious and comfortable, with an outside braai area and a deck to sit on and absorb the tranquility. Bontebok come into the camp daily to nibble the grass, extremely impressive close up.
We spent three days there before Christmas and I wished we had more. I would go back in a heartbeat.
