Good little museum on the history of Huguenot’s and Franschhoek’s origins Definitely worth an hour’s visit

点评：A nice, small, and informative museum on the town’s creation, but a slightly odd layout.
If you are looking at the memorial, walk left up the road and there are two museum buildings, you have to buy tickets on the opposite side of the road to the entrance to the memorial - bit off and not obvious. But this building has artefact from the towns origin, but nothing about the history. We asked a couple of questions and she opened another room for us to show a video, which was really interesting and would have been good to see first.
We went across the road to the main museum, and this was much more interesting, had more information on the Huguenot’s expulsion from France and how they lived in this area with the Dutch travellers. It would have been much better to do that first, so I would recommend buying the tickets, walking across the road and doing that museum first, and that is where you walk to the memorial, then heading back to the building you bought your tickets from!
But I would definitely recommend visiting, it is less than an hour and nice to know about the history of the town
