STUNNING ESTATE. TERRIBLE RESTAURANT

点评：Let's start by stating that the estate is incredibly beautiful and meticulously kept. The art gallery stunning, and the gift store had some wonderful things. The restaurant however was terrible!!! Our waitress wasn't just unfriendly, she was rude. On more than one occasion, while someone at the table was speaking to her, she walked off before they could finish. We were charged somewhere around R50 for a bottle of water (only found out the price afterwards) that was clearly prepared/filtered on site, which is insane, and our kids make-your-own pizza came with one ridiculous bowl of cheese which was probably about 1/3 of what you needed to cover the whole base. When we asked for more cheese, they gave us one extra bowl (still not enough to cover the whole base). I am usually a 20% tipper because I have spent time in the industry and know that it isn't an easy profession. However, even with my understanding nature, our waitress should have been fired and go into a different profession before she does more damage to the restaurant. The restaurant should also relook at their skimpy portions and cost of something simple like water. We won't ever go back. If anyone from management wants to do something about this and establish who the waitress was, we were a table of about 10 and we were there at around 1pm on the 27th April 2025.
