Visited on the Wine Tram, excellent experiance.

点评：We visited the Boschendal Estate as part of our Wine Tram Tour. You are picked up at the tram stop and then drive through part of the estate for 10 minutes to the main area where the restaurants, farm shops and the tasting rooms are. It is a very scenic drive, with the estate backdropped against the mountains. Boschendal is one of the oldest vineyards in the area dating from the late 1600's, with the arrival of the Houguenots from France
At the tasting rooms we had a warm welcome, by very friendly and professional staff. Our tasting was one of the best we have had, the sommelier was very professional and informative about the wines. We tasted 6 in all some good whites, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc were excellent. Reds were really great Merlot, Shiraz and the Pinotage were enjoyed. The purchased some and they have got better.
We even had time for a quick lunch from their selection of platters, which was delicious.
We had a great couple of hours at the estate before heading back to the tram and though it was well worth the visit. However our next one will be an individual visit, as there is so much to see and do here.
