Well worth the early start

点评：This experience requires an early start - we had a two hour drive, in the dark, to get there - and you need to arrive for dawn as that is when the action starts. You may be forgiven as you arrive for the feeling that there is nothing here......It is the change in temperature that awakes the geysers, so be patient.
Be aware it is bitterly cold, go prepared in many layers of clothing and a warm coat and hat! Even when dawn broke and the geysers sprung into life the temperature did not really warm up!
There were quite a lot of other busses arriving at the same time, so it is busy, but people on the whole were respectful of others and it didn't mar our enjoyment or photographs. There was space for all.
The site itself is not that large, I'll be honest I expected it to be bigger. That said the geysers were impressive and we felt overall the trip was worthwhile. After viewing the geysers we had an al fresco breakfast overlooking the site, which was nice - but again still very very cold!
