点评:A wonderful little house museum covering the life of a local photography pioneer and his family business. If you are a photographer, you will find the technical details and photographic history elements interesting, but even if you are not, there is still a lot to enjoy. It is an interesting family story that also follows the development of the town and region over time and you can learn a lot about the late 19th-20th C in this part of Europe. Very good (but not *too* lengthy) audioguide is provided. Visiting was an unexpected highlight of our stay in Cesky Krumlov.
The original photo studio is still used and on some days you can get your picture taken in historical outfits. There is also a small shop with reprint postcards. One nice addition would be the possibility to look through some of the photographic archive in more detail, for example on digital terminals where you could select by year or subject matter. I would've liked to see more of his work showing life in the Šumava region.
