点评: My review is about the Parlour Restaurant within the Garden Centre.
We ordered 2 tuna mayo jacket potatoes and a tuna mayo sandwich at 1pm today, a relatively quiet Monday . At 1.40pm we asked a passing member of the waiting staff if our order was on its way - she helpfully took our receipt to find out what had happened, she mentioned that today they were short staffed. On her return she said we were '2 tickets away from receiving our meal '
10 minutes after this conversation ( now nearly an hour after ordering) another member of staff came to tell us there was 'no mayonnaise' so our order should never have been taken. The staff member said we could order something else but being rather fed up at being told this information an hour after ordering -we choose to cancel and be refunded for the jacket potatoes and choose a different sandwich - Prawn - which although was well presented was very watery. I'm not sure we heard the word 'sorry' either from the 2 wait staff we spoke to or the cashier who refunded us for the Jacket potatoes.I don't think being short staffed excuses this poor customer service - better communication and an apology would have gone a long way today.
