Fantastic experience with Luke, Big Blue Sky tours

点评：We had a fantastic experience touring the Cape Town area with Big Blue Sky's Luke Oberholzer. Luke and John Lawrence, the owner, met us at the airport promptly and we got to chat more about what we were interested to see on the way to the hotel. Then Luke deftly tailored our itinerary including extending the hours of the touring days to make sure we saw the sites we were most interested in. The first day was in the city and surrounding areas where we got to see both historic and physically beautiful "photo op" sites. Luke has a vast knowledge of the history of the country and importance of the various sites that really brought it to life as we heard about how that relates to the current culture and status of the country. The second day we toured the Peninsula, Cape of Good Hope and national park, and the third day we traveled to wine country where we did wine tastings and pairings at 3 different wineries in 3 regions. It was asking a lot to pack all of this into 2.5 days, but Luke arranged a wonderful program with entertaining commentary that didn't feel crammed and had enough stops of interest where we didn't feel like it was too much driving. Luke and John also run a wine tasting tour business, and so his knowledge of the various regions/varieties of South African wines was outstanding, making that day particularly enjoyable. Luke's warm, delightful personality made our tour even more enjoyable and fun.
