Bioparque Los Ocarros的点评
点评：My brother and I visited this lovely Bioparque. The public part of the park is a zoo with jaguars, monkeys, otters, and other South American mammals as well as lovely birds. These are animals that were rescued and taken to the park for rehab. After their rehab from injuries the animals are released to the wild. If the animals can’t survive in the wild they are put in the zoo. The private part of the park is where veterinary services are performed, and the animals are nursed back to health.
Bird watching around the grounds was fun, and we saw many beautiful birds. We enjoyed it so much we returned the next day. The staff, like so many of the people we met in Colombia were friendly and accommodating. They are passionate about their work and about the environment. Everyone we interacted with was cordial, from the director to the man running the cafe. A special thank you for Natali who helped us see the birds.
If we return to this area we will revisit this park.
